When does the Antichrist and his empire make their appearance?

The Antichrist and his empire make their appearance at the signing of the seven-year covenant or treaty with Israel, which Daniel 9:27 describes as a covenant with many for one week, that is, seven years in Bible language. This signing begins that seven-year period.

Les explains that this man and this empire make their appearance at the signing of the seven-year treaty seen in Daniel chapter 9. Daniel 9:27 says he, the Antichrist or prince that shall come, shall confirm or make or sign a covenant with many, Israel, for one week, which is seven years in Bible language. The beast is given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and power to continue. He will have economic and military clout, and people will worship him, saying, 'Who is like unto him, who is able to make war with him?' Daniel said he would worship only the God of forces and blaspheme God, and this is seen even in Revelation. Les teaches we should not take anything on face value but go to what the book says, so he directs us to Daniel 9:27.

Daniel 9:27

And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

Revelation 13:5

And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.
