Where does the Antichrist emerge from?

The Antichrist emerges from the common market of Europe, out of the nations that come together. From a group that may start at twelve, go to fourteen or fifteen, then drop back to ten, he rises out of those ten to usurp power. He comes peaceably, with flattery, as a political maneuverer and charismatic figure, not by military might.

Les teaches that the Antichrist comes up out of the common market of Europe, out of those nations that will come together. He explains they may be twelve tonight, go to fourteen or fifteen, but they will drop back to ten, and out of those ten he will come up and usurp power. Les emphasizes he does not come in with military might or by fighting wars; instead he comes peaceably and with flattery. He is a political maneuverer and a charismatic individual. He gets his ducks in a row peaceably, without having to use ammunition, though there may be a threat of power behind him, such as western Europe still having NATO. He does not yet have actual military power as his command. A crown was given unto him, and the world will recognize him as the leader.
