Les Feldick Bible Study

Will we be able to eat in our resurrected bodies without health problems?

Yes. The resurrected body is capable of ingesting food, and eating will be one of the pleasures of glory. There will be no weight problem, diabetic problem, or high blood pressure problem. Revelation 22 says the tree of life yields fruit on both sides of the river twelve months a year to be eaten.

Les teaches that when we enter glory and have our new resurrected bodies, we will have pleasures this world knows nothing of, including eating. He explains that we will not have to worry about a weight problem, a diabetic problem, or a high blood pressure problem. He bases this on Revelation 22, where the fruit of the tree of life grows on both sides of the river and provides fruit twelve months of the year to be eaten. He also notes that the resurrected body is capable of ingesting food, but there will be no need for sanitation because the chemistry will be totally different—food will be totally consumed rather than only a small percentage. He illustrates this from the One who appeared physically with scars in His hands and feet, asked for food, and ate broiled fish and honeycomb.
