Will our resurrected body be the same flesh and blood body we have now?

The resurrected body will not be the same flesh and blood body we now have. It will be on the same order, and the best illustration is the Lord Jesus during His forty days after resurrection. It will be an eternal body, not a mere invisible spirit or angelic existence.

Les explains that when resurrection happens, people ask what we will be like—whether we will be invisible spirit beings or like angels. He says the answer is no; we are going to be eternally existing in a body. It will not be the same flesh and blood body we have now, but it will be on the same order. The best illustration Les gives of our resurrected body is the Lord Jesus in His forty days after His resurrection. Les points to Paul's detailed explanation of resurrection, noting that Old Testament saints believed in it. Job said that in his flesh he would see God, and David understood he would go to his deceased child.
