Will there be eating in heaven or the resurrection?

In the resurrection, eating will not be needed to sustain life. The stomach and food belong to this temporal existence and will be destroyed. Yet eating for pleasure may continue, since the Lord ate fish and bread at the Sea of Galilee after His resurrection.

Les teaches from 1 Corinthians 6:13 that 'meat for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them.' He explains this is a physical aspect of everyday life—food for the stomach and stomach for food—part of our temporal existence. We cannot go a day without food, and our stomach demands it. But the day is coming when that won't be true. When we get our new resurrected body, we will not have to eat three meals a day. Les thinks that for those who love to eat, the Lord will grant the pleasure of eating, because He ate fish and bread at the Sea of Galilee after His resurrection. Yet the resurrected body will not need food day after day; it will not be a necessity.

John 21:9

As soon then as they were come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread.
