What message should believers give when they have an opportunity to share the gospel?
When opportunity comes, believers should tell the person held in Satan’s web that God has done everything needed to set them free and reconcile them to Himself. The message is that God was in Christ reconciling the world, not imputing trespasses, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
Les teaches that believers are not to force the issue by merely knocking on doors or grabbing people by the shirt collar. But as God gives opportunity, they must be ready to jump on it. Paul says God has given us the ministry of reconciliation. So when the opportunity comes, we tell the person wrapped in Satan’s web that God has done everything needed to set them free and reconcile them to Himself. The message is that the whole triune God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them, and has committed unto us the word of reconciliation. God has left believers here as ambassadors—representatives of a government in a strange land.
