Les Feldick Bible Study

Can we force someone to be saved when we share the gospel?

No. When sharing the gospel, the believer's role is only to sow the seed; salvation is something only God can accomplish. We cannot force anyone to be saved, cannot push it down their throat, and cannot compel belief. We may preach the gospel, but God must do the saving work.

Les explains that Paul would have nothing to do with the unsaved immoral world except to preach them the gospel. That is all we can do: sow the seed. We cannot force anything or push it down their throat, because salvation is something that only God can do. The believer's responsibility is to proclaim the gospel, not to compel or produce the result.
