Les Feldick Bible Study

What should you do when someone gives you an opening to talk about your faith?

When someone gives even a brief opening, be ready to share the hope of your faith, explaining what salvation means to you. Do not force it or try to shove it down anyone’s throat; instead, speak naturally and willingly as the Lord provides the opportunity.

Les explains that just as people naturally brag about a good car, believers should be able to talk about the things of the Lord as easily as the weather, because faith has become that big a part of them. He says Paul teaches that if Jesus is Lord, we should be ready to share it with anyone who will listen. But Les does not advocate forcing anything on people or grabbing them and shoving it down their throat. When the Lord gives an opportunity, when someone gives an opening with just a word or two, then be ready, as Scripture says, to give the hope of your faith.
