Why is Israel in the news every day and nobody attacks her even though she is outnumbered?
Israel remains in daily news and secure despite being outnumbered because the Almighty God watches over that nation. God chose Israel as His covenant people and will fulfill all Genesis promises. He holds hostile forces in check, as shown in 1967's Six-Day War, when Israel turned the tide by sovereign miracle.
Les explains that the Almighty God is watching out for that little nation. He emphasizes that God loves the Arab just as much as the Jew, and Americans as much as Middle Easterners, because this is the day of grace. But going back to His covenant promises, God has delineated that Israel is His covenant people and will bring to fruition all the promises He made in Genesis. That is why the little nation is in the news every day and why, though outnumbered, nobody dares attack her. Les notes that Syria has been building up armed forces and could seem able to overrun Israel in a day or two, but the Almighty God holds everything in check. As in 1967's Six-Day War, Israel was invaded from four directions at once, yet in hours turned the tide and destroyed those Arab armies. Les calls this the miracle working of a sovereign God, even though Israel was in unbelief. Similarly, Jacob went to a far country under God's protection and blessing, yet he himself remained an unbeliever, the supplanter and deceiver.
