What is Israel's present condition while still being in the news constantly?
Israel is presently in spiritual blindness and dispersion among the nations, yet remains constantly in the news because it sits at the vortex of God's dealings with the nations. Jerusalem is a stone of stumbling and rock of offense, leaving the world in turmoil over what to do with it.
Les explains that Israel is out there in blindness and in a dispersion, but they are still in the news three times a day, seven days a week. The reason is that they are at the very vortex of all of God's dealing with the nations. Jerusalem, from day one, God said, would be a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense. The world is in constant turmoil because it does not know what to do with Jerusalem, and that is because it does not know the book. God has divided all the nations of the world and set their borders and bounds according to the number of the children of Israel. Israel will also be the greatest nation when Christ's kingdom comes on earth and they will be the apple of His eye.
