Why is the nation of Israel constantly in the news according to Les?
Israel remains a tiny nation—only three or four million people, with an area smaller than Rhode Island—yet it appears in world news constantly. This is because they are God’s people, and He is getting them ready for His soon return, when He will fulfill His promises with them.
Les explains that Paul in verse 15 refers to the reconciliation poured out on the Gentile world, but great as it has been, it is nothing compared to what will happen to Israel when God comes back and fulfills His promises with them. It will be “life from the dead.” When Israel is out in the nations of the world, they are dead, not a viable entity, but they are coming back. That is why the little nation of Israel is in the news every single day. Les reminds people that no other little nation on earth comprised of only three or four million people, with a geographical area smaller than Rhode Island, is constantly in world news; it is miraculous because they are God’s people and He is getting them ready for His soon return.
