Why is Israel always in the news and why does no one attack them despite being outnumbered?
Israel remains in the news because God has designated it as His covenant people and will fulfill every promise He made in Genesis. Though outnumbered, no one dares attack them because the Almighty God watches over and protects that nation, holding opposing forces in check.
Les explains that God loves the Arab as much as the Jew and Americans as much as Middle Easterners because this is the day of grace. But going back to His covenant promises, God has delineated Israel as His covenant people and will bring to fruition all the promises He made in Genesis. That is why the little nation is in the news every day, and why, outnumbered as they are, nobody dare attack them. Even though Syria has been building up armed forces and from all practical purposes could overrun Israel in a day or two, the Almighty God is holding everything in check. Les points to 1967's Six-Day War, when Israel was invaded from four directions at once, yet in hours turned the tide and destroyed those Arab armies—the miracle working of a sovereign God, even though they are in unbelief. Likewise Jacob went into a far country under God's protection and blessing while still an unbeliever, the supplanter and deceiver.
