Why does Satan attack Israel so constantly?

The constant assault on Israel stems from the Abrahamic covenant, because through Abraham and that covenant comes the Messiah, the Redeemer of all mankind. Satan must do anything in his power to thwart God's plan for the ages, and that requires him to target the nation of Israel first.

Les teaches that this is why he emphasizes the Abrahamic covenant so strongly. Through the one man, Abraham, and the covenant God made with him, the Messiah—the Redeemer of all mankind—would come. Therefore Satan has come constantly to attack the little nation of Israel. He has to do anything in his power to somehow thwart God's plan for the ages, and he has to start with the nation of Israel. The nearby Genesis 15 context shows Abraham still childless and concerned about an heir, but the covenant promise remains the focus.

Romans 9:4
