Les Feldick Bible Study

Why was Eve insulated from the curse?

Eve was insulated from the curse so the reproductive cells from Eve down to Mary, and continuing to this day, would not transmit the curse from one generation to the next. The curse passes only through the father; physiologically, none of the mother's blood becomes part of the fetus, and blood comes from the father.

Les explains that Eve was not a rib but was taken out of Adam’s side, likely the reproductive part, which he calls the germplasm. That reproductive line had to run from Eve all the way down to Mary and probably continues to this day. Therefore Eve had to be insulated from any part of the curse so those reproductive cells would not carry the curse from generation to generation except through the father. Only the father precipitates the circulatory or blood system, and none of the mother’s blood ever becomes part of the fetus or infant.
