Les Feldick Bible Study

What has the blood of Christ paid?

The blood of Christ has paid the price of redemption, which was required for God to regain control of fallen man. That payment is complete and has been paid in full, surpassing the temporary covering provided by the blood of bulls and calves.

Les explains that the blood of bulls and calves did its work, covering the sins of Israel, but it was nothing compared to the blood of Christ. The blood of Christ paid the price of redemption that had to be paid in order for God to get control of fallen man. And He's done it—it's been paid in full. This fits the constant comparison in Hebrews of that which was good (the earthly tabernacle) with something far better (the heavenly pattern).

Hebrews 9:12

Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
