Where did Christ pay the price of redemption?
Christ paid the price of redemption at the cross of Calvary, where He shed His blood for the whole human race. That payment covers every human being's sin, though it is appropriated only through faith. The cross is the place where the redemption price was paid.
Les explains that redemption means paying a price to bring people back to God. For Israel, the redemption from Egypt was more symbolic, using the blood of the Lamb and the opening of the Red Sea. But for the whole world, Christ paid the price with His own blood. The cross of Calvary is where Christ paid the price of redemption, so that the whole human race—which fell under Satan's control when Adam sinned—could be redeemed. He paid for all, every human being's sin, but a person cannot appropriate it until faith comes into the picture. In Romans chapter 3, verse 25, Christ Jesus is set forth as a propitiation through faith in His blood, because the blood is the price of redemption. Without the shedding of blood, there is no remission.
