What did the blood of Christ have the power to do?

The blood of Christ was divine and holy, not ordinary blood. It had the power within it to cleanse the whole world's sin problem—not just the believer's, but everyone's. This work was so far beyond human endeavor that it required the very God of creation to accomplish it.

Les explains that the blood of Christ was not ordinary blood and cannot be described as ketchup or anything that might take its place. He emphasizes that it was divine and holy, with power to cleanse the whole world's sin problem. He contrasts this with human attempts to dramatize the cross, calling such dramatizations almost blasphemy because it took the very God of creation to do the work of the cross. That work is far beyond and above human endeavor. He also notes that Christ died for the whole world, not just the believer.
