Why were Adam and Eve not ashamed when they were naked?

Adam and Eve were not ashamed because they were created perfect and sinless, with pure minds and no guilt. They enjoyed unbroken fellowship with God, who walked with them, so their naked state caused no embarrassment or fear. Their innocence made them completely comfortable in His presence.

Les explains that Adam and Eve were so perfect and sinless that even in their naked state they were perfectly comfortable in God's presence. Their purity of mind meant there was no shame. They were beautiful people with everything going for them, living in a perfect earth with an ideal climate and no severe weather. They had fellowship with their Creator, and God came and walked with them in the cool of the evening. In that sinless condition, nakedness carried no shame because there was no guilt.

Genesis 2:25

And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.
