What will happen to the Jews in Jerusalem at the midpoint of the Tribulation?

At the midpoint of the Tribulation, the Jews in the Jerusalem area suddenly recognize that the leader they trusted, who signed a treaty three and a half years earlier, is actually their mortal enemy. They congregate and flee Jerusalem, an escape likened to Israel's departure from Egypt, accompanied by a great earthquake.

Les explains that at the midpoint of the Tribulation, the Jews in the area of Jerusalem are suddenly going to realize that the one they thought they could trust, who had signed that treaty three and a half years earlier, turns out to be their mortal enemy. They will congregate and make their flight out of Jerusalem. This escape is compared to Israel leaving the night of the Passover, and it will be miraculous, covering many miles. Jesus said they should pray that this event does not take place on a Sabbath day because of Sabbath travel limits. There is also going to be a tremendous earthquake back in chapter 11 that same day, and Les calls them a mixed remnant, an escaping remnant.
