What will happen to the Jews who flee Jerusalem at the midpoint of the Tribulation?

At the midpoint of the Tribulation, Jews in Judea and around Jerusalem will flee to the mountains, leaving possessions behind because time is short. God will protect and provide for these escaping Jews, just as He protected and provided for the Jews in the wilderness. They are a cross section of society, not the 144,000.

Les explains that at the midpoint of the Tribulation, Jews in Judea and southern Israel are told to flee to the mountains. Those on the housetop must not come down to take anything from the house, and the worker in the field must not return for clothes, because time is of the essence and they will not need those things. This is an analogy and parallel to the escape out of Egypt. Just as God protected and provided for the Jews in the wilderness, He will protect and provide for these escaping Jews coming out of the environs of Jerusalem. This group is not the 144,000; it is a cross section of society, including men, women, young women, and children. Les also illustrates that a retired, well-to-do individual may have antiques or fine furniture but will have no time or opportunity to take them, while agricultural workers should simply take the clothes on their backs and get out.
