What will happen at the midpoint of the Tribulation to the Jews in Jerusalem?

At the midpoint of the Tribulation, the Jews in the Jerusalem area will suddenly realize that the one they trusted, who signed a treaty three and a half years earlier, is their mortal enemy. They will congregate and flee Jerusalem, and a tremendous earthquake will occur that same day.

Les explains that at the midpoint of the Tribulation, the Jews in the area of Jerusalem will suddenly realize that the one they thought they could trust, who had signed a treaty three and a half years earlier, turns out to be their mortal enemy. They will see the things happening, and there will also be a tremendous earthquake that same day. These Jews will congregate and make their flight out of Jerusalem, described as a mixed remnant, an escaping. Les compares this flight to Israel leaving Egypt the night of the Passover, saying something about that exodus had to be miraculous, since God must have moved them along to go from Goshen to the Red Sea in such a short time. He also notes that because they may have to go many miles, they should pray the event does not take place on a Sabbath day, since present-day Judaism limits walking distance on the Sabbath to about a mile or a mile and a half.
