What happens to the Jews at the end of the Tribulation?
At the end of the Tribulation, the Jews will not be led away captive into all nations. Unlike A.D. 70, when they fell by the sword and were dispersed among the nations, they will instead survive until their Messiah appears. This distinguishes Jerusalem’s destruction from the final Tribulation.
Les explains that Jesus’ words in Luke 21:24 about falling by the sword and being led captive into all nations identify A.D. 70, Titus’ invasion and destruction of the Temple, not the last of the Tribulation. He points out that at the end of the Tribulation the Jews will not be led captive into all nations; they will just survive until their Messiah appears. By contrast, in A.D. 70 they were emptied out of the land and dispersed into every nation on the face of the earth, and Jerusalem was trodden down by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.
And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
