What kind of change will happen to our body at the resurrection?

At the resurrection, this vile, corrupt body will be changed—a metamorphosis grander than a butterfly—into a new body fashioned like Christ’s glorious body. It will be a real, recognizable, resurrected body, as demonstrated during His forty days after resurrection.

Les explains that our citizenship is in heaven, and from there we look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ—not the King. At the second coming He comes to the Mount of Olives and Israel as King of kings, but for the church He comes as Savior and head of the body. In verse 21, He shall change our vile, corrupt body. It is a metamorphosis, only grander than a butterfly, producing a new body fashioned like unto His glorious body. Les says if you want a glimpse of your new resurrected body, study the forty days of Christ’s resurrection: He looked normal, walked on two feet, appeared as another human being, walked with the disciples to Emmaus, was invited in for the evening meal, and then suddenly was gone without going out the door or window.

Philippians 3:21

Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.
