Will God ever give up on someone He has saved?

No, God will never give up on someone He has saved. Once He calls a person His own, saves them, and makes them part of the elect, He remains faithful. Believers may fail miserably, but God will never forsake or leave them, because His faithfulness, not human faithfulness, secures them.

Les teaches that God's covenants originate and end with Him, and He will never break them. Even though Israel broke the Abrahamic covenant repeatedly, that did not annul it. In the same way, when God calls a person His own and they are saved, becoming part of the elect, He will never give up on them. Believers may fail miserably, but God remains faithful; He will never forsake or leave them. The context notes that even carnal believers like the Corinthians will be taken up at the Lord's coming and considered blameless because they are under the blood of Christ. This assurance applies today: if someone has entered a genuine salvation experience, they are His and He is theirs.

1 Corinthians 1:9

God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
