Les Feldick Bible Study

when do you truly experience real freedom according to the Bible?

According to the Bible, true freedom is understood and experienced when a person becomes a believer, having been set free by God's grace from the yoke of bondage and legalism. This freedom is not license to live as one pleases.

Les explains that every individual is left with a free choice, but the greatest exercise of freedom comes when a person becomes a believer. That is when one understands true freedom. Paul constantly warns not to be entangled again in the yoke of bondage or to come under the heavy yoke of legalism, because believers have been set free from all that. Yet this freedom is not license; it does not mean living as we please simply because God has saved us by His grace.
