Les Feldick Bible Study

Why should you practice witnessing and be ready to answer questions about your faith?

Practice witnessing and be ready to answer because people can unexpectedly ask why you believe or why this or that. Rehearsing simple drawings with someone, even family, prepares you to explain your faith clearly and use sudden opportunities, including conversations at your own kitchen table.

Les teaches that believers should be prepared because people may ask out of the blue, "Why do you believe?" or "Why this, or why that?" His practical method is to keep witnessing simple: get a piece of typewriter paper or computer paper and draw the key things freehand, even as a caricature. It does not have to be fancy or perfectly accurate; it just needs to be recognizable and usable. He tells his listeners to practice on their wife or on somebody else so they can be ready with answers. If a chance comes to witness in your home at your kitchen table, use that opportunity and draw these things out.
