What did God do through Jesus Christ about the condemnation Adam brought?

God, through the person of Jesus Christ, reconciled the condemnation Adam brought. He paid the debt and made everything possible to bring fallen men back to Himself. Adam's fall brought the human race into condemnation, but Christ superseded it and provided restoration by faith.

Les explains that people are not guilty sinners because they ate of a forbidden fruit; they inherited condemnation as sons of Adam. They are born spiritually dead, spiritually destitute, and spiritually enemies of God. God decreed that everyone coming from Adam would be a fallen creature, but He did everything to bring that fallen creature back to his original state if they would just believe. Les emphasizes it has always been by faith: Adam was restored into fellowship by faith, Eve was restored into fellowship by faith, and so it continued through the Old Testament. The contrast is that we did not go through what Adam did, nor did Christ go through what Adam did, but He superseded it. Everything Adam accomplished to bring the human race into condemnation, God through Jesus Christ has reconciled. He paid the debt and has made everything possible to bring men back to Himself.
