What has Jesus Christ done to fix what Adam did?
God, through the person of Jesus Christ, has reconciled the human race, paid the debt, and made everything possible to bring men back to Himself, superseding Adam's condemnation. Christ's work provides restoration to fallen creatures who believe, reversing the spiritual death inherited from Adam.
Les explains that humanity did not become guilty by eating forbidden fruit as Adam did; we inherited condemnation as sons of Adam and are born spiritually dead. But God decreed that everyone from Adam would be a fallen creature, yet He did everything to bring that fallen creature back to his original state if they believe. It has always been by faith. Adam and Eve were restored by faith. The gift is not as it was by one that sinned: we did not go through what Adam did, neither did Christ, but He superseded it. Everything Adam accomplished to bring the human race into condemnation, God through Jesus Christ has reconciled. He paid the debt, made everything possible, and has done everything possible to bring men back to Himself.
