How long can most people really live it up in their lifetime?
Most people can really live it up for only about 10, 15, or 20 years. Even if they live a full lifetime of 70 years, the old body cannot take such indulgence much longer than that. Afterward, they face an eternity of regret and separation from the Creator rather than bliss.
Les explains that the world thinks they are living it up, but at most they could live a whole lifetime of 70 years. Out of that 70 years, most people can really live it up for only 10, 15, or 20 years because the old body cannot take it much longer. Instead of an eternity of bliss and glory, they face an eternity of regret, doom, and separation from the Creator. Les finds it ridiculous and wonders how people can reject it, since God has made salvation so easy and simple, with great rewards even in this life.
