How does a 90-year lifespan compare to eternity?

A 90-year lifespan is infinitesimal compared to eternity, which the context describes as billions upon billions upon billions of years. Even a full 90-year life lived with youthful enjoyment is nothing next to the endless duration of eternity in God's presence, for which Scripture prepares us.

Les explains that even if someone could live a 70, 80, 88, or 90-year lifespan and enjoy it with the speed and enjoyment of a 25- or 30-year-old, that whole 90-year spectrum is nothing compared to eternity. He describes eternity as billions upon billions upon billions of years, and says it is coming. The book has been left with us to prepare us for that eternity, though materialism and good times can keep young people in the dark. He adds that this doesn't mean we must stop enjoying life, and he never had to get drunk to enjoy it.
