What was Job's dilemma?

He was a righteous man and the pillar of his community, yet God permitted Satan to strike him and take away everything he had. His friends offered explanations, but the real crux appears in Job 38: Job was not perfect, and God had a lesson for him.

Les explains that Job, poor fellow, was in a dilemma. He had been living a righteous life and was the pillar of his community, yet all of a sudden God permitted Satan to strike him and took away everything he had. Then his three friends came along and told Job the reason for all his problems was this, that, and everything else. But Les says you don't get to the crux of Job's problem until chapter 38. Job did have one. We like to think Job was perfect, but he wasn't. Had he been perfect, those things would not have befallen him. God had a tremendous lesson even for Job.
