What did Job say that shows he believed in the resurrection?

Job declared, “I know that my Redeemer liveth, and in the latter days shall stand upon the earth, and in my flesh I shall see God.” This statement shows he expected a future bodily resurrection, when his Redeemer stands on the earth and Job sees God in his flesh.

Les explains that the Old Testament saints believed in resurrection, and Job is a prime example. Job used the expression, “I know that my Redeemer liveth, and in the latter days shall stand upon the earth, and in my flesh I shall see God.” That hope points to a future bodily resurrection, not merely an invisible spirit existence. The context also notes David’s response after losing the child from Bathsheba: he realized he could not bring the child back, but he would go to him, another indication that he understood resurrection.
