Whose Word is this book?
This book is the Word of God the Son, Jesus Christ, the communicator of the triune Godhead. He is the Word who was with God and was God, through whom all things were made. He is the one who spoke creation and has spoken in this book.
Les explains that the Word is the communicator of the Godhead. John 1:1-3 says the Word was with God and was God, and all things were made by Him. Les notes the triune Godhead was complete and in absolute consensus, and there had to be a person who would communicate with creation. He then points to Hebrews, showing it is the Son of God, Christ, who has spoken in this book—the very person of the Godhead who is God the Son.
