What kind of pleasure will God give His people in the new Earth?

Les explains that the new Earth will carry over aspects of the thousand-year kingdom reign, including an animal kingdom and birds, though he questions whether fish will be present because there is no sea. He expects a whole kingdom economy to extend into the new Earth. In that setting, God will have activity, and His people will be busy. There will be all kinds of things to enjoy, because God is preparing this so His people might have pleasures evermore. Les stresses that this is not pleasure as the world thinks of pleasure, but as God defines pleasure. He does not claim to know exactly what it will be, yet he is confident that, knowing God, God cannot make a mistake and it will be glorious. He contrasts this with people who trade an eternity of real pleasure for only a few years of so-called good times, living in the fast lane and burning themselves out, which he calls foolish.
