How will God create the new heavens and new earth?
God will create the new heavens and new earth out of nothing, drawing all things back into the original source of light and energy. After the present elements are destroyed and melt with fervent heat, He will create new heavens and a new earth, as Revelation tells us, and so does Peter.
Les explains that creation begins out of nothing. He recalls reading a physicist’s article that concluded everything at the beginning came from a single source of light, which Les identifies as God, saying, “God is light.” Les suggests that just as everything expanded from that source, everything could go back into it. He teaches that when everything will be destroyed and the elements melt with fervent heat, God will pull everything back into that original source of light and energy, and from there He will create new heavens and a new earth. Revelation tells us this, and so does Peter.
