Who has been the counterfeiter deceiving people since the very beginning?
Satan has been the counterfeiter from day one, deceiving the human race. He is a master counterfeiter so like the original that only an expert can tell the difference. The human race has fallen for his deception time after time.
Les teaches that Satan has been the counterfeiter from day one, and the human race has been falling over it time after time. He illustrates this with the Treasury Department: agents study legitimate American bills for months, not counterfeits, so they can recognize one little mark that is not in an original. In the same way, believers must be so aware of what the Scripture says that they recognize false teaching. The white horse in Revelation 6:2 is a counterfeit of the real one in Revelation 19.
