Why should we beware of deception today?
We must beware because Satan is the master deceiver, and the world is set up for the biggest deception ever to hit the human race. Even the church is being infiltrated with everything but what it needs, and people are given something less than the truth.
Les teaches that when the disciples asked Jesus in Matthew 24 about the signs of His coming and the end of the age, the first word He gave was deception: “Beware, be not deceived.” Les explains that the world is set up for the biggest deception ever to hit the human race, and people are falling for anything and everything while refusing to get into the Book and search for the truth. Satan is the master deceiver, and he is doing a tremendous job even in the church, infiltrating it with everything but what it needs. People are being given something less than the truth, so believers are to warn them.
