How many kingdoms does the Bible say there are?
The Bible says there is only one kingdom, the kingdom of heaven, which Christ will set up on earth when He returns as King of kings and Lord of lords. It is spiritual, physical, and political, and will come to fruition at His return.
Les teaches that all through Scripture there is only one kingdom, and it is the kingdom Christ will set up on earth when He returns to become King of kings and Lord of lords. Even during His earthly ministry, when Jesus said the kingdom is within you, He meant that an inner spiritual relationship with God is necessary to be part of that literal, physical, political kingdom one day coming on the earth. John the Baptist preached that the kingdom of heaven is at hand because Jesus, the essence of the kingdom, was just around the corner and about to begin His earthly ministry. This kingdom is not a spiritual, ethereal, invisible kingdom only; it is spiritual, physical, and political, and it will come to its fruition when Christ returns and sets it up on the earth.
