What is the Kingdom of God according to the Bible?

The Kingdom of God is the entire sphere of God's influence and sovereignty, including heaven, outer space, hell, and earth—everything under His domain. Within it is the coming Kingdom of Heaven, the earthly kingdom over which the Messiah will one day rule and reign.

Les explains that the Kingdom of God is the whole sphere of God's influence and sovereignty, encompassing heaven, the outer fringes of space, hell, and earth—anything under God's domain. He distinguishes it from the Kingdom of Heaven, which is a glorious kingdom on this planet within the broader Kingdom of God. During the forty days after His resurrection, the Lord spoke of the Kingdom of God, and the disciples asked if He would restore the Kingdom to Israel—the earthly kingdom over which their Messiah would one day rule and reign. Matthew consistently uses 'Kingdom of Heaven,' while Acts 1 and 28 use 'Kingdom of God.'
