What happened to Adam's dominion after he sinned?
After Adam sinned, he lost the dominion God had given him over creation. He forfeited his role as God’s second in command and dropped the ball. Satan then picked up that dominion, becoming the god of this world, and Scripture says the world lies in the lap of the wicked one.

In Genesis 1:28 God blessed Adam and Eve, told them to be fruitful, multiply, replenish the earth, subdue it, and have dominion. Adam was to rule over creation under God with total dominion, as God’s second in command. But when Adam sinned, he lost that dominion and dropped the ball, and Satan picked it up. From that time Scripture makes clear that Satan is the god of this world, and the world lies in the lap of the wicked one.
