Who is the false Holy Spirit and what will he do?
The false Holy Spirit is a false religious leader, the second powerful world leader, who works miracles in the beast's sight. He causes earth's people to worship the Antichrist, the counterfeit Son, and tells them to make an image of the Antichrist. He also has power to give life to that image.
Les explains that this false Holy Spirit is not the Holy Spirit but a false religious leader and the second man of tremendous power. Along with the Antichrist, he is a man, though bestial in personality and ruthless toward humanity. Satan has tremendous miracle-working power, and this false religious leader has miracles in the sight of the beast. He uses them to cause the people of the earth to worship the Antichrist, the counterfeit of the Son, and he commands them to make an image of the Antichrist. Les compares this to Nebuchadnezzar, who centralized the world's worship in a great image. He teaches that the Antichrist and the false prophet consort together to amalgamate all the religions of the world and make them worship one great image, and that he has power to give life to that image.
