What has God promised believers in the age of grace?
For believers in the age of grace, God has promised basic provision: a roof over their heads, clothes on their backs, and food to eat. That He has promised. Anything beyond those necessities comes only by His grace and blessings, not as guaranteed material prosperity.
Les teaches that during the age of grace, God’s promise to the believer is limited to the essentials of life: a roof over our heads, clothes on our backs, and food to eat. Beyond that, it is simply His grace and His blessings. He notes that material blessing and accumulating wealth are not wrong in themselves, but if they become a priority, God will frown upon it. By contrast, in the Old Testament, God promised Israel blessing in every way, mostly material, if they were obedient; but in chapter 28, verse 15, the conditional “but” introduces curses for disobedience.
