How did Joseph's brothers use a kid goat with Joseph's coat to deceive Jacob, and how did that echo Rebekah's deception of Isaac?

Joseph's brothers conspired together, took Joseph's coat, and killed a kid, using that kid as part of the deception aimed at old Jacob. The pattern echoed Rebekah, who had used a kid to deceive Isaac; what goes around comes around.

Les explains that Joseph's brothers conspired together after Joseph was sold to the Ishmaelites/Midianites for twenty pieces of silver. They took Joseph's coat and killed a kid, then used that kid to deceive old Jacob. Les connects this to Rebekah, who used a kid to deceive Isaac, and says, “What goes around comes around.” He also notes Reuben had returned to the pit, found Joseph gone, and feared facing his father. The parallel shows deception coming back around even among the patriarchs.
