Who did Jacob deceive?

Jacob deceived his father Isaac and his brother Esau. He is also described as the deceiver and supplanter, skilled at deception even while working for his uncle Laban, and he had tricked Esau some forty years earlier before returning to Canaan.

Les explains that Jacob is remembered as the deceiver and supplanter. He says Jacob deceived not only his father Isaac or his brother, but he was also pretty good at deception even when he worked for his uncle Laban. Jacob was always one step ahead of everybody in a sharp deal. After gaining his wives and children with Laban, he returned to Canaan and feared Esau because he had tricked him some forty years earlier. In Genesis 32, God confronts Jacob man to man.
