After Paul escaped from Damascus, where did he go?
After being let down by the wall in a basket to escape Damascus, he went down to Mount Sinai in Arabia. The text says Jerusalem was the last place he would have gone, not to the twelve apostles, but he went to Mount Sinai in Arabia.
Les teaches that after Saul escaped Damascus, he did not go to Jerusalem to consult the twelve apostles, even though they had been with Christ for three years and knew His ministry intricately. Scripture makes it plain that Jerusalem was the last place he would have gone. Instead, he went down to Mount Sinai in Arabia. Earlier, Saul had confounded the Jews at Damascus, proving from the Old Testament that Jesus is the Christ, but he left out the crucifixion and resurrection. When the Jews took counsel to kill him and watched the gates night and day, the disciples took him by night and let him down by the wall in a basket, so he had to flee.
