Where did Paul go after leaving Jerusalem to begin his ministry?

Paul was brought down to Caesarea, a seaport town, and sent forth to Tarsus, the area of his home city, where he began his ministry. This followed his three years at Sinai and a two-week visit with Peter in Jerusalem.

Les explains that after Paul spent three years at Sinai, he stopped at Jerusalem for two weeks with Peter. When the brethren learned the unbelieving Jews were about to kill him, they brought him down to Caesarea, a seaport town, and sent him forth to Tarsus. From there he went up to the area of his home city, Tarsus, and began his ministry. Les notes that Paul always went first to the synagogue of the Jew, but when they rejected him, he went to the Gentile. Later, Barnabas went up to Cilicia, into the area of Tarsus, to look for Saul and bring him back to Antioch, where Gentile Christianity began to flower and believers were first called Christians.
