What is the only purchase price for our redemption and how do we receive it?
Redemption’s sole purchase price is the blood of Christ—divine blood shed for us. We receive and appropriate it by faith, believing and trusting in His shed blood for atonement. No one enters heaven unless redeemed by faith in the blood of Christ.
Les explains that the baby’s blood is kept from the physical mother’s pollution, illustrating that Christ’s blood originated with God Himself. When He was born, divine blood coursed through His veins; when it was shed, it was not merely the blood of another human being but the divine blood of God Himself. That was the price of redemption. God set forth Christ Jesus to be a propitiation—the place of sacrifice, offering, mercy, and grace—but it is through faith in His blood. Les emphasizes that if we do not believe in the shed blood of Christ and its power for atonement, we are lost. No one will be in heaven unless redeemed by faith in the blood of Christ. The blood of Christ is the only purchase price for redemption, and we must appropriate it by faith, believing and trusting it. This declares His righteousness for the remission of past sins.
