What happens to Israel when the Antichrist sets up his rule from the temple?

When the Antichrist sets up his rule and reign from the temple, Israel will surely be back under the boot of the Gentile armies. This continues the pattern of Gentile domination that began in 606 B.C. when Nebuchadnezzar besieged Jerusalem and took Israel captive.

Les explains that when the Antichrist comes in and sets up his rule and reign from the temple, Israel will surely be back under the boot of the Gentile armies. He traces this pattern back to 606 B.C., when Nebuchadnezzar came to Jerusalem, besieged it, destroyed it and the temple, and took Israel captive, with only a few returning. A restored temple was later built by Ezra and Nehemiah, which was the temple at Jesus' First Coming; King Herod remodeled and enlarged it into a wonder of the ancient world. That temple was destroyed in 70 A.D. by Roman General Titus, and the Jews were once again sent out into a complete dispersion. So the Antichrist's rule from the temple marks another period of Israel under Gentile domination.
