What does the Antichrist do to the Temple at the midpoint of the Tribulation?

At the midpoint of the Tribulation, the Antichrist will come into the Temple and defile it. That act triggers the last half, when he turns against the Jews, who had enjoyed a semblance of religious freedom during the first three and a half years.

Les explains that Revelation 12 places this at the midpoint of the Tribulation. The Antichrist will come in and defile the Temple, and he will turn on the Jew who for the most part had enjoyed a semblance of religious freedom in the first three and a half years. Les points out that this midpoint triggers the last half, which he says is beyond human description and is called in Psalms 2 the wrath and vexation of God. He also connects this to Jesus' admonition in Matthew 24, where Jews are told to flee Jerusalem.
