How has Satan deceived people about keeping the law and salvation?
Satan has deceived millions by convincing them that doing their best and keeping the law as much as possible will make them acceptable. But Scripture declares no flesh is justified by deeds of the law; the law only reveals sin, never salvation. Redemption comes solely by faith in the shed blood of Calvary.
Les explains that all law keeping, good works, and legalism are for nothing because by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in God's sight. People may look good enough in man's sight, but they will never cut it under the scrutinizing eyes of the Lord Jesus. The law cannot give the knowledge of salvation; it only shows mankind their sinfulness. Les notes it is amazing how Satan can totally counterfeit the issue. Today Satan has convinced millions, probably billions, that if they do the best they can and keep the law at least as much as possible, they will somehow make it. That idea is stuck in their crawl, and they refuse to see what the book says. The book says they will never make it because by the keeping of the law no flesh is justified. The price of redemption must be experienced by having faith placed in the shed blood of Calvary.
Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
